About YourDomainSpy
YourDomainSpy is a free tool for finding domain names you can actually register. It builds name ideas from your words and shows only the ones that are likely available.
Why it exists
Most domain ideas are taken. Ask a person, a search box or an AI for name suggestions and you get a long list, and then you find out one at a time that nearly all of them are gone. The slow part of naming is not having ideas. It is discovering which ideas are still free.
YourDomainSpy does that part first. It generates hundreds of combinations, checks every one, discards the taken ones, and shows you what is left, scored so the strongest names are at the top.
How it works
- It combines your words. You give it primary keywords and helper words. It joins them in every sensible order.
- It checks every name with a proprietary method. The check is fast enough to run on hundreds of names in seconds.
- It can run a second, deeper check. For the names you care about, a slower check catches the few taken names that the first one misses.
- It scores what is left. Short, simple, easy-to-say names rank higher.
It also flags taken names that are listed on a domain marketplace or parked, since those can often be bought from their owner, and shows registration and hosting details for any taken name.
It runs in your browser
The whole tool is a web page. There is no account and nothing to install. The checks are made by your own browser.
- Your words, results and shopping list stay in your browser. They are saved in your browser's storage on your device, which is how they survive a reload. This site does not receive them.
- The names you check are sent to third-party lookup services. Words you ask for similar words to are sent to a word service. Those services see what you look up, as they would for any availability check.
- Clearing your browser data for this site erases your saved sessions. They are not stored anywhere else.
What it cannot tell you
- That a name is definitely available. Results say "likely available" for a reason. Always confirm at a registrar.
- What a name costs. Some unregistered names are reserved or priced at a premium by the registry. Only a registrar shows the price.
- Whether a name is safe to use. A free domain can still conflict with someone's trademark. Check before you commit.
- Who owns a taken name. Owner details are hidden under privacy rules for most domains. The record shows the registrar, which is the route to the owner.
Cost
The tool is free to use. It does not sell domain names. When you have a list, you buy from the registrar of your choice.
